Advanced Training
Personal Injury Fraud:
Fraud is the most profitable phase of the business of investigation. Exposing the personal injury fraud will be taught from many aspects.
This is where regular field notes change into detailed writings and all phases of this training can be valuable.
Graduates of this program will speak to your class and demonstrate different kinds of investigative equipment, cameras, surveillance vehicles, GPS, etc.
Surveillance:
Students learn how to prepare for a trial, select the facts the attorneys are looking for, and how to package and/or record those facts so they will be legal at time of trial.
Two books written for the purpose of teaching the how-to and all legal aspects associated with all types of surveillance are used for this purpose.
The best equipment, including hidden cameras and vehicles, will be demonstrated for you.
Process Service:
Professional Investigators provide a service to the legal profession and serving papers is part of that service. This is not a profitable phase of the business but must be taught.
There is profit in serving papers no one else can serve. You will be taught how to make this both interesting and profitable.
Child Abuse Investigations:
Time does not allow students to be taught with any expectation of becoming an expert in this area. Students will gain general knowledge in their quest to do a better job.
The investigative outline provided in class will vault graduates over many posing as experts in this field today.
Interrogation – Interviewing:
Natural ability cannot be learned; however, a few techniques can enhance anyone’s productivity with their interview.
You will have the opportunity to learn how to professionally push an interview into a hard sale interrogation without the subject knowing the difference – and get a confession!
Criminal Investigations:
A criminologist will speak to your class, either in person or on video. Information in this area will be extremely interesting and informative. The latest technology, local law and procedure, is covered in both video, books, and lectures by defense lawyers.
Accident Investigation:
Today the police do not investigate many accidents thereby creating more work for you. The traffic manual from "THE" school,
Northwestern University Traffic Institute is used by ALI. Experience of the Director is also helpful. John Rose has investigated hundreds of accidents as a police officer and investigator.
Arson Investigations:
It is not the intent to train students to become a fire cause expert as that takes years; however, many fire investigations do not require the expertise of a fire cause expert.
You may have more ability to interview, produce photographs, locate witnesses and accomplish other phases better than the expert.
The Court System:
The court system is the playing field for the professional investigator.
To be successful in this business you must know the rules and regulations around the courthouse. All the evidence you gather in your investigation is worthless unless it can be presented before a jury. You will learn the rules of the court, how to testify, the dress code, legal language, etc.
These are all extremely valuable to the real professional.
Evidence:
What is evidence? Will you produce evidence every day of your investigative life? Yes, you will. What do you do with that evidence? How do you prepare to present it for trial? There are hundreds of things you will learn, including
Courtroom Etiquette. To step into the courtroom as a true professional and look good the first time can only be accomplished by professional classroom training.
